Psychological Sciences Program

The Psychological Sciences Program
Cuts across all four departmental divisions and currently offers four major areas of study

Science

Interdisciplinary Science

Program strengths include research collaborations among areas within the Psychological Sciences Program and collaborations with clinical researchers (e.g., autism, anxiety).

Research

Collaborative Research

Students learn to conduct psychological science in a team whose members can include faculty, postdocs, grad students, staff, and undergraduate students.

Methods

Cross-cutting Methods

Common areas of interest include network science, evolutionary psychology, psychophysiological functioning, developmental change, and real-world applications.

Training focuses on rigorous mentorship-based guidance in the study of human behavior and its biological underpinnings.
The program offers a flexible schedule of courses that students can tailor to their interests is key.
Training includes a common quantitative course sequence and area-specific requirements for the PhD.
Students engage with the field via conference presentations, scientific publications, and grant/fellowship applications.

The Psychological Sciences Program trains researchers for career paths in academia, research institutes, and industry. Where are they now?
