Dr. Lai earned her doctoral degree in clinal psychology, with a concentration in children and families, from the University of Miami in 2011. She completed her clinical internship at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford/Children’s Health Council. Her research focuses on supporting children and families affected by disasters. Lai is the author of The Grant Writing Guide: A Road Map for Scholars and the forthcoming book, The Public Scholar, both from Princeton University Press. She is the Incoming Department Chair for the Department of Counseling, Education, and Developmental Psychology at Boston College.
