Welcome to Undergraduate Academic Services for Psychology (UASP).  Detailed information about the Psychology Department, programs and their requirements, advising and transfer issues, and research can be found through the links on the left side of this page.

You can contact UASP at (305) 284-3303.  Our office is conveniently located on the fifth floor of the Flipse Building in room 508.  It is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.  Stop by anytime.  Our staff of professional and Peer Advising Liaisons will be able to serve you.

Director of Undergraduate Studies and Academic Services for PsychologyDr. Victoria Noriega
Dr. Victoria Noriega is available to Neuroscience and Psychology majors for advising or consultation regarding curriculum, academic progress, and future plans.  Dr. Noriega came to UM as an undergraduate transfer student in 1979.  She received her B.A. in Psychology from UM.  After working for a biomedical firm for several years, she returned to the University to earn her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.  Dr. Noriega was in the Adult Clinical program, did her dissertation on breast cancer, her internship in a community mental health center, and her residency in a forensic setting.  As an undergraduate, graduate student, and now faculty member and administrator, Dr. Noriega has had first-hand experience in many roles in the Department.  Dr. Noriega is responsible for the undergraduate curriculum and program planning and implementation.  If you have any questions or suggestions about these matters, be sure to speak with her.  She can be reached at vnoriega@miami.edu.

Associate Director of AdvisingSean Kilpatrick
Sean Kilpatrick is the Associate Director of Advising in the office of Undergraduate Academic Services for Psychology.  Sean graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami with a B.A. in Psychology and Criminology, and he received his M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Enrollment Management while working full-time.  He also holds a Certificate in Student Life and Development.  Sean first joined the UASP office as a Peer Advising Liaison during his junior year in college, and after graduating, he continued to work at UASP as a full-time administrator.  Sean assists psychology and neuroscience majors with advising, graduate school, and career planning issues, and his background in enrollment management, student affairs, and research makes him an excellent resource for students.  He also supervises the office's Peer Advising Liaisons and works closely with them to provide undergraduates with high-quality services.  Sean can be contacted at smkilpatrick@miami.edu.

Psychology AdvisorSonya Richards
Sonya Richards provides general advising for Psychology and Neuroscience majors.  Sonya is a recent graduate of the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in History.  After participating in the FACT FORUM program as a freshman, Sonya joined the UASP office and worked as a Peer Advising Liaison for three years.  She studied abroad in Greece and Slovenia while at the University of Miami.  Sonya is currently considering graduate school options and looks forward to continuing her education in the future.  She can be reached at srichards@miami.edu.

Psychology AdvisorAlida Lambert
Alida Lambert provides general advising for psychology and neuroscience majors.  She attended UM as an undergraduate and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in sociology.  Alida worked at UASP as a PAL for two years and is excited to be back full-time.  She studied abroad in Sydney, Australia and is an avid traveller and scuba diver.  Alida plans to begin a master's program at UM in the fall and pursue a career in education.  Alida can be reached at alambert@miami.edu.

Peer Advising Liaisons

The staff at UASP also includes 17 highly trained Peer Advising Liaisons. We all work together to help the approximately 1000 Psychology & Neuroscience majors make the most of their educational experience. Our Peer Advising Liaisons have a variety of campus experiences to share with you. Please stop by Flipse 508 to meet this years team.
