Calvin

My dog Calvin, pictured above when he was very young, is an exotic breed known as the shag terrier (for fascinating information about the breed, click here). He joined the Department of Psychology in September of 1995 as a 2-month-old. He spends much of his work time (when he's not sleeping) lowering people's blood pressure, and making sure they are functioning to their full capacities. He also likes to go for walks whenever possible, and he insists on being involved in all significant decision making that takes place in the office.  Calvin has served as a guest reviewer of manuscripts on numerous occasions (particularly when he was in his paper-training phase).  Though he is by now getting to be something of an "old dog," he continues to learn new tricks:  He is presently hard at work on some advanced statistical procedures.

More photos of Calvin can be found on the attached gallery page.
