Faculty Positions
The Department of Psychology is seeking to fill two tenure-track faculty positions to begin in August, 2010. One position will be in adult clinical psychology and one in neuroscience. It is anticipated that these positions will be filled at the Assistant Professor level.
- Adult Clinical Psychology
- Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA accredited clinical program or equivalent is required. We particularly welcome inquiries from clinical psychologists whose interests extend to personality-social psychology, and whose interests dovetail with those of our existing clinical and nonclinical faculty. We are particularly interested in persons who strive to integrate social and biological approaches to behavior (examples are social and cognitive neuroscience and behavioral genomics). - Neuroscience
- For a clinical appointment, a Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA accredited program or equivalent is required. For a non-clinical appointment, a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience or related area is required. This search is emphasizing research interest in human cognitive neuroscience (e.g., using functional MRI) or animal models examining brain and behavior mechanisms. Individuals with clinical or nonclinical interests in neuroscience (cognitive or behavioral) are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates for both positions will be expected to develop their own independent area of research, teach graduate and undergraduate courses as well as supervise doctoral students.
